ABOUT US
Genesis Soil Solutions is a family owned and operated business. Director Charlie Patsuris has over 40 years of experience in the agriculture industry, motivated by the potential for biology to naturally improve soil efficiency and promote plant growth.
Utilising soil tests and relying on data analysis, Genesis Soil Solutions delivers a holistic approach to product supply without compromising integrity.

The importance of soil biology
Plants depend on complex nutrient systems and defence systems found in soil, delivered through micro-organisms.
Individual plants require unique balances within the soil. Thriving soil structure has the ability to supply nutrients, discourage the presence of disease-causing organisms, develop beneficial soil structure, break down toxic substances, and emit natural hormones and chemicals to promote plant growth.

With well-balanced soil, dirt compaction is reduced and plant roots are able to penetrate deeper into the soil with easier access to water. By alleviating the plant’s struggle for water, food and sunlight, they then contain their full potential of nutrients, vitamins and minerals.
Analysis of the soil is vital in gaining a comprehensive understanding of what is required to achieve full biological soil restoration.

Organisms in soil can be affected by a number of external factors - changing environmental conditions can kill important organisms in the soil. Natural factors, in addition to human intervention both play a significant role in the natural balance of soil. The application of herbicides and pesticides may seem helpful to prevent weeds and insects, but they are detrimental to soil health and essential advantageous organisms.
Charlie Patsuris
Charlie, director and founder of Genesis Soil Solutions, is a third generation farmer, raised on a market garden in Werribee South, Victoria. From an early age alongside his parents and siblings, Charlie played part in its operations.
Throughout his 20+ years on the family farm, Charlie established working relationships with large food chains, supplying them with a variety of produce, and developed efficient logistic solutions to supply his produce locally and interstate.
In the late 1990s, Charlie parted ways with the agricultural industry to pursue a successful career in construction as a registered domestic and commercial builder. After collaborating with groups such as the Salvation Army, he furthered his passion for helping communities achieve positive outcomes.

He has continued to develop his understanding of soil structure and soil chemistry, first attending Dr. Elaine Ingham’s Soil FoodWeb Grower’s Program in 2007.
Charlie is now integrating his experiences in agriculture and construction with his pursuit for knowledge, forming a strong basis for Genesis Soil Solutions and its holistic approach to a thriving, sustainable future.
